Three small web tools that do one thing each, hosted on our own hardware, free to use and free of accounts. This page explains who runs them and how the whole thing stays afloat.

No account is required for any of them, because none of them need to know who you are. That's not a growth strategy — it's the actual architecture, and it's why the tool list stops where it does.
sh0rt.biz is run independently by Sergej Toloknov in Hannover, Germany — one operator, running the service as a long-term personal project on self-administered infrastructure. All legal details, including the mailing address, are in the Impressum; questions, bug reports, and abuse reports go to the same contact as everything else.

Each tool replaces a habit that tends to go wrong. Link shorteners exist for print, QR codes and anything spoken aloud — but most of the big ones pay for themselves by profiling the people who click. Self-destructing notes exist because secrets shouldn't live forever in chat histories. The wallet tool exists because "generate a wallet online" usually means trusting a website with your keys — and doing that in the browser, with the keys never leaving it, is a dramatically better default.
The common thread is smallness: fewer moving parts, clear limits, and no data collection beyond what a feature actually needs. Where a tool can't protect you from something — and none of them can protect you from everything — the guides say so in plain words.
The tools are free and stay free. Server costs are covered by advertising on the public pages — Google AdSense, the standard web ads you've seen everywhere, and nothing more exotic than that. The tools themselves don't require accounts or payment, and we don't sell any data; there's no data business here to sell from.
What the ads do mean is that this page, like the rest of the site, may involve third-party processing described in the privacy policy. If you'd rather avoid ad-funded services on principle, the guides and the tools work fine without ever touching an ad — and we mean that without sarcasm: use what's useful, skip what isn't.
